 The Bark Around Town

 Bella & Rylee

The Yellow Dog’s Barn has become a second home for our dogs. On “school” days they can’t wait to get in the car and get to TYDB, and we feel great dropping them off, because we know they are being watched in a clean and comfortable environment by professionals who understand the importance of keeping everyone safe and happy.   Holly and JoAnne treat our dogs like their own, and we love being able to look online from work and see the pictures of our dogs having a great day. When you pick your dogs up at the end of the day and hear specific details about the day they had, you realize what a safe and closely monitored environment they are in. And lastly, we love coming home after work with two happy and VERY TIRED dogs! Alison & Lee, Madbury, NH

 Goyal

Hi, I’m Goyal and I am one of the kids at The Yellow Dog’s Barn. I love coming to school to see my Aunties and all my buddies. My Aunties take very good care of all of us. They make sure we are getting along and that we have as much fun as possible.  When it is cold and rainy, we can go inside and play, which is great, but they make sure that we get outside to do our business too. My Mom & Dad love TYDB too because I come home tired and they know that I’m in safe hands while I’m here. I always recommend The Yellow Dog’s Barn to all my friends, just come by and check it out~ You'll love it too!   Goyal, Teri & Chris, Rochester, NH

Harley

Harley felt right at home from the first day she was introduced to the TYDB.  I feel very comfortable dropping her off for the day with no worries. I trust Joanne and Holly as much as I trust my daughter’s daycare. They're a clean environment with only one goal and that is the safety of the dogs. Harley gets so excited to go there, she whines of excitement from miles away. She knows she's going to see her friends and have lots of fun! When we pick her up at the end of the day she is exhausted from playing. It feels great knowing that the dogs are loved by TYDB like they were their own.  I would recommend the TYDB to anyone.  Heather  & Chris A, Barrington, NH

With mild cases, dogs continue to eat and be alert and active.  Please help us keep our dogs healthy, if you notice any coughing or nasal discharge with your dog,  let us know asap and please keep your dog home from daycare until symptoms are gone.

All dogs must be current on Rabies, Distemper and Kennel Cough vaccinations.

All daycare dogs must be on heartworm preventative (year-round), and flea/tick preventative from March to November (year-round treatment is recommended).

Dogs must be dropped off before 8:30 a.m.

Pick-up time: 2:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
(Dogs not picked up by 6:00 p.m. will be charged a late fee of $10 per half hour.)

Cancellation Policy:  It is important to note that a reserved spot at daycare may mean that we may have had to turn other dogs away.  Therefore, if you have reserved a spot for your dog on a particular day but then cannot attend, you must call or email before 7:30am of that day, or you will be charged for the day. (Voice mail may be left 24-hours a day).

Afternoon Pick-up Policy: Many dogs get very excited when we attempt to let one dog exit the play yard, which can result in aggressive behaviors at the gates. For the safety of your dog(s), all dogs will be crated in the afternoons after 4:30 pm until it is time for them to go home.

 Adoption Spotlight

Sammie:

Sammie is a beautiful girl! She likes being around adults and older children and really enjoys playing with other dogs. When Sammie is outside she is just as content chasing ants and moths as she is playing with a toy. She is doing very well with housetraining. Although her foster home has worked on her crate training, Sammie needs some more work in that area. She will however stay in it for short periods of time. Sammie is expected to be a large dog and should only go to a home ready to put in the time and energy needed to raise her to be a smart and polite lady. Please contact New England Doglift at www.newenglanddoglift.com or email adopt@newenglanddoglift.com.

Marty:

Yellow Lab. Marty is a fantastic boy! He is crate trained, walks perfectly on leash, excellent house manners, completely house trained, and knows his basic obedience. Marty does excellent with cats and dogs. You will often find Marty hanging out with a cat weaving in and out of his legs. Marty bonds very tightly with his people and becomes attached to one or two people in the home. He has to be right next to his people all the time. Because of the strong attachments that he forms, he would be happier in a home with kids over 10 years of age. Marty's ideal home would be with another laid back dog or a some one that he can be with all day. Marty knows and so do we that there is one very special family waiting to bring him into their home. Please vist New England Doglift at www.newenglanddoglift.com or email adopt@newenglanddoglift.com.

Hera & Zeus:

We're a pair!  Hera (left) is a spayed female German Shepherd and Zeus (right) is a neutered male Husky mix. They came to CVHS as strays and are looking for a family to adopt them together. All around great dogs, they would do well in most any home - with kids, cats and dogs. For more information on Hera & Zeus, please visitCocheco Valley Humane Society at www.cvhsonline.org.
